    iCloud mail uses two types of settings namely IMAP and SMTP standards which is supported by the most modern email apps. But remember, it does not support the POP standard.     Using IMAP (Incoming mail server)

     

    • First of all, you need to set the server name as imap.mail.me.com.
    • Then, in SSL Required option, select “Yes”.
    • In case you are popping up with an error message when using SSL, then try using TLS instead of SSL.
    • After that, you will see an option called “Port” where you need to select “993”. Click ‘enter’.
    • Next, you will be asked to enter the username and password in the given field box. 
    • In the username box, you need to enter the part excluding @icloud.com from your email address. In case, the email client does not accepting your username, try to enter the full name. 
    • In the password box you have to generate an app-specific password.

     

    Once you are done with the above steps, proceed to the next server settings.

     

    Using SMTP (Outgoing mail server)

     

    • First of all, you need to set the server name as smtp.mail.me.com.
    • Then, in SSL Required option, select “Yes”
    • In case you are popping up with an error message when using SSL, then try using TLS or STARTTLS instead of SSL.
    • After that, you will see an option called “Port” where you need to select “587”. Click ‘enter’.
    • Then, you have to click yes in SMTP Authentication Required.
    • In the Username box, you need to enter the full iCloud email address including @ thing.
    • In the password box you have to generate an app-specific password.
