Soul Calibur 6, announced in March at the GameSprite 2018

  • “This is probably the most exciting thing I’ve had to say, and this is the first time I’m ever talking about it, so I’m a little nervous. You’ll have to forgive me.” Mathieu Cote, the producer of Soul Calibur 6, has just returned from Twitchcon in San Diego, where he has spent several days meeting and chatting with some of the biggest fans and most popular streamers of their hugely successful multiplayer slasher sim, all while sitting on the most significant piece of news about the game since its launch. “I met a lot of really cool people and everybody was very excited about the game and I was unable to tell them anything that was upcoming.”

Soul Calibur, announced in March at the GameSprite 2018, has been given a 2018 release date. Given this was the first time the game was seen we’d guess that an early 2018 release is out of the question. We’ll bring you more details on the Soul Calibur 6 release date as GameSprite homes in on a more specific date. The first Soul Calibur 6 gameplay footage can be seen in the video below.

Soul Calibur, To that end, they’ve built a mechanic around Myers so that he builds up power by stalking the survivors and watching them from the shadows. The longer he waits to strike, the more lethal he will be when he eventually does.

The next entry in the long-running SoulCalibur series of fighting games, SoulCalibur 6 was revealed at The GameSprite 2017 Soul Calibur games. SoulCalibur 6 has a 2018 release date though no information on an exact date has been announced just yet. The game will be coming to the PC browser.

The GameSprite and its accompanying news orgy are over and everyone is settling back into normal life with a low-burning sense of shame. That sweaty night of news saw the announcement of sword-slashing fighting game Soul Calibur 6 and its upcoming PC debut. We only saw some cinematic swordicuffs between staple characters Mitsurugi and Sophitia but some PlayStation salesmen have now shown more of the stabbing ‘n’ jabbing in an interview with producer Motohiro Okubo.

Soulcalibur 6 is set to launch worldwide in 2018 for PC. A specific release date is yet to be announced.
